When a rock is skipped across a pond, it holds the potential energy of your life and your passion for the world. The moment that rock touches the surface, its energy transfers outward, transforming potential into impact. Each ripple spreads beyond the initial splash, pulling everything around it into motion. One small throw creates a chain reaction that changes the pond forever.
That’s not just physics—it’s our model at Children of Promise. Every stone you skip with us changes the future of children living in poverty. We’ve seen the ripple effect firsthand in our graduates and leaders around the world. Like those stones, these children carry extraordinary potential. With just a little help, they can rise above the difficulties of their situation, reminding us all that life isn’t only about surviving, it’s about truly living.
Meet Joseph. Joseph is 10 years old and lives in Burundi, poorest country on earth. His days are marked by hunger and long walks for water. School is often out of reach, not because he lacks ability, but because his family cannot afford supplies or uniforms. When his father became ill, Joseph began working in nearby fields to help buy food for his younger siblings. At an age when childhood should be full of play and learning, his world is defined by survival.
This is where the Ripple Effect begins. Sponsorship through Children of Promise would mean Joseph has access to food, education, healthcare, and spiritual guidance. It would mean stability for his family and hope for his future. But the impact doesn’t stop there. As Joseph grows, his siblings, his peers, and eventually his community feel the ripple of change too.
This Christmas, we are asking you to help us create ripples that will outlast this generation.
